Challenges and plans: Covid-19 has increased the digital gap

In Greece, the digital gap has increased during Covid-19 and this has resulted in education providers having lost groups of learners. However, more people now have a good command of digital technologies and can access digital learning activities. The learning provision will remain hybrid even after the pandemic.

Furthermore, adult learning providers have had to reduce their staff but funding for adult learning in Greece has slightly increased to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 on the economy.

Currently, Odyssea focuses on vulnerable groups, with the promotion of labour market training service recipients as the final goal. Moreover, youth is a core priority of a reskilling/upskilling strategic approach in close cooperation with the private sector.
